Walking Trips for Women

Culture and Walking Trips for Women in 2010 call 800.488.8026/978.462.0368

I invite you to join one or more exclusive culture trips for women. Plans are afoot for the west of Ireland, southwest England and northern Massachusetts in 2010.

This year I will join my longtime colleague Mary Ette who lives and walks in southwest England where we will walk the moors, the seacoast and hills. Ireland always beckons with its unparalled hill walks and access to historic monuments. The richness of northern Massachusetts will delight you with its gorgeous coastline and 25,000 acre great marsh.

Previous trips have brought everyone companionship, great exercise, and a full week of basking in local warmth and cultural richnesses. Join the fun and see what we have in store for 2010!

What they said!
“10 out of 10 and you can quote me” Kathy May, Needham, MA

“Exposure to the cultural life of Sneem, Ireland, was outstanding” Susan McCalmont, Barrington, RI

“Fabulous trip. Exceeded my expectations in every way.” Gerri Violette, Somerset, MA

“Thank you! It was grand. Loved Sneem, the pubs, the romance of Ireland, the friendships that developed.” Eileen DeRego, Fairhaven, MA

“To me it was all wonderful. Michael (our guide) added so much to our fun. I have enjoyed every minute!” Kathy Mauro, Assonet, MA

Organized walks are geared for walkers of average fitness, but all abilities are most welcomed and will be accommodated. The walks take place on hills and paths in spectacular landscapes, enjoying views that will feed your soul. There are alternative activities and programs for participants who choose not to walk. In the evening, we’ll dine in local restaurants. And we’ll schedule after dinner local entertainment, including singing, ceilidhs, set and contra dancing and more.

Not for women only: I’ve had repeated requests, including from my husband John, so men may join us this year. Simon Ette, Mary’s husband, may join us in England. As we work on the itineraries and dates, I’ll keep you posted.
