How to Book: Advisement of availability does not guarantee a reservation; if you are definite in your wish to reserve a property, please submit your credit card number and expiration date. We’ll hold your reservation and send all of the booking details so that you can quickly finalize your plans.

We accept payment by Visa, Master and Discover cards and checks payable to Vacation Homes Abroad. A deposit of 30-50%, depending on the property is required to finalize a reservation. Final payment will be due 8-12 weeks before your arrival date.

Included in our prices: Almost everything but your meals! Taxes, including VAT (Value Added Tax, up to 20% in some European destinations) where applicable, linens and towels (an extra charge in some countryside villas in France), equipped kitchens for cooking and dining, utilities such as heat and electricity unless otherwise advised. If there are any additional charges, such as utilities or linens, these charges are mentioned in the property’s description and will be included in the booking details. Don’t be put off by the thought of paying utilities; European heating systems and appliances are energy efficient and these costs are usually minimal. Linens and towels are Euros 12-15 per person per change, where applicable. London apartments have metered phones, here again the charges are modest, but the telephone system in England does not provide unlimited local calling on residential phone lines. There are no additional credit card charges!

Cancellation policy: Your reserved property is one of a kind and has been set aside for your exclusive use. In the event that you have to cancel your reservation, we will only be able to refund the rental charges, either the deposit, final or full payment, if we are able to rent the property to another party for the same dates. We will make every effort to rent the property, but this cannot be guaranteed. Therefore trip cancellation insurance is strongly encouraged and is available from Vacation Homes Abroad. If the property is rented to another party, you will be advised of the administrative charge as determined by Vacation Homes Abroad and the property’s owner. The minimum administrative charge is $300.

Vacation Homes Abroad Guarantee: We are proud of our portfolio of apartments and houses and truly believe that you will enjoy staying in them. If circumstances force us to make a change in any booking, we will offer comparable alternative accommodation or a full refund.
